What is seo?
Search Engine Optimization also referred to and abbreviated as “SEO” (and just plain 'seo') is a marketing tactic and strategy.
Both the phrase Search Engine Optimization and it's acronym describe and refer to the actions and practices of designing, linking, and or creating both on and off site content and the structure of such, in a way and as an effort to increase the exposure of a online property or URL (referred to as a website) to search engines and more importantly the users of search engines. The objective and art of seo boils down to enhancing the positioning of a site's listing in targeted search results to obtain higher levels of organic traffic from search engines.

SEO can also refer to search engine optimizer. A seo is a professional of whom optimizes a website to enhance the search engine listings to maximize the amount of organic search engine traffic (organic traffic is search traffic that is not paid for as oppose to 'SEM or Search Engine Marketing').
